Letters & Awards

For the past 10 years or so Alan Dixon (fondly nicknamed 'the choc doc') and myself have been giving talks on chocolate. We cover some botany, history, geography and social history - infact what ever the requirements or particular interests of the group might be.

We have given talks to numerous W.I groups, Probus and Rotary Clubs to name just a few. Lately we have been asked to go into Primary schools to talk about such topics as The Aztecs, Fair Trade issues, chocolate production and about ourselves and our little chocolate company. During the talks various visual aids are passed around including many of my own photographs from a chocolate plantation in Venezuela on which I worked about 6 years ago.

We always take with us many samples of our chocolate for everyone to try, usually 24 different flavours. There are more than this in the shop to try!

Below features some of the brilliant feedback received from our chocolate talks and other customer appreciation.

Hi Guys, Thank you so much for the fabulous evening, everyone really enjoyed it. How strange that I never heard of you until Ivor told me and now everyone I speak to, has either spoken to you, arranged another evening and then I open a food book and there you are with a full editorial and photographs of your shop. I am so looking forward to bringing some people over and stocking up on some of the lovely flavours. I will send you the photograph and writing about our evening, when I upload them from my phone. I will forward the same piece to the local press, in the hope of having an insert, both advertising you and raising awareness of the gluten free aspect and our local group. Once again, thank you so much for a fascinating evening, presented with the same passion i have for life. Kind Regards, Marjorie. 'Coeliac Humberstone Country Club'

Dear Rosanna, Just to say "thank you" for coming along to Hemswell Court on Wednesday 28th March, providing a selection of Special Edition Chocolate for our Club Officer Members. It was also very kind of you to donate a chocolate bunny for the raffle - he was quickly snapped up! The range of your products and presentation lookoed super and I do hope our members voted with their tastebuds and purses. We have received good feedback as to how welcoming you were, and how delicious is your ware! On behalf of my Chairman, Jill Bewick and the Executive, thanks again for your time and efforts to make our day that little extra special! With best wishes Moria Galloway. 'NAFAS North Midlands Area'

Hi, Thank you so much for the talk and the chocolates you gave us on Thursday. Delicious!! I for one will never look a Cabury's bar in the face again. Once again thanks for such an enjoyable evening. Regards Irene. 'Branston Garden Club'

Dear Rosie & Alan, The staff and cadets of Grimsby and Cleethorpes Sea Cadets would like tosay a very big thank you for your generosity. It makes such a difference to the cadets, staff and Commitee and it would be a bonus if you were able to come and see us at our next open event which we are trying to set up in June which would also tie in with this being the 70th anniversary of the recognition of the Sea Cadet Corps by the Royal Navy including the Grimsby Unit. Yours Sincerely, S Spencer. 'Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sea Cadets'

1.To Grandad, Thanks for the chocolate. It tasted great. I really loved it. It was gone in 3 hours. It was so good, your mouth watered. Hope your job is going well. Lots of Love Barney.                  2.Dear Grandad, Thank you for the chocolate. It was gorgeous. Was the chocolate from the factory because if it was they make lovely chocolate. I hope we will see you soon. Love from Brook.       'A customers grandchildren'

Hi Rosanna, Just a note to say thank you so much for the wonderful chocolates you did for our wedding favours. Our guests loved them and the printing was so perfect and made the whole table look fabulous. The guests loved the surprise of the different flavours - although one of our gentlemen guests (with the chilli chocolate) actually started to cry it was such a shock! Please can you also pass on my thanks to Gemma for her work on the printing/ logo. I will definitely remember the service and quality in the future for any future events! Many thanks 'Georgina Phillips'

Dear Rosanna, I would like to thank you very much on behalf of the Humberston North Sea Lions Club for a fantastic visit which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We were all fascinated with your business and Alan's knowledge, his talk was so interesting & informative. Of course the chocolate tasting was the main event and we were all impressed, thank you for your generosity. We wish you all the best for the continued success of Special Edition Chocolate & will certainly recommend you to all our friends. Cheers, Rosie Donovan 'Humberston North Sea Lions Club'  27th July 2012
